This was the scene at our first Haply Creators Club event, a casual post-work happy hour designed to bring together our vibrant community and showcase our groundbreaking technology.

Held on July 18th, 2024, from 5 PM to 8:30 PM, at our offices in the buzzing Plateau area of Montreal, the event aimed to provide insight into our upcoming 3D touch mouse launch, gather valuable feedback, and foster connections among our community members and team.

Event Highlights

As we showcased the context and vision behind our Touch 3D Mouse, the enthusiasm from our community was palpable. With over 80 attendees, including Creators Club members and members of the local tech and startup ecosystem, the event exceeded our expectations. Alongside good music and great company, the evening featured captivating tech demonstrations and a presentation by our team on the plans and work behind our upcoming haptic computer mouse.

The presentation highlighted the potential of a touch-enabled spatial computer mouse to augment the workflows of artists, developers, and engineers who work with 3D applications. It emphasized making intuitive three-dimensional navigation with touch feedback accessible and affordable at the consumer level, and underscored the importance of community involvement and feedback in shaping its development.

Plans in Motion

Colin, Haply's president, discussed the company's vision for this product, including our goal to launch a consumer-friendly 3D computer mouse at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This new product aims to merge the needs of 3D designers, makers, gamers, and high-performance users, bringing advanced haptic technology to a broader audience. Colin also touched on the importance of workflow compatibility, ensuring the 3D mouse integrates seamlessly with existing tools and software.

Romain, from Haply's industrial design team, elaborated on the practical applications and ergonomic design of the new 3D mouse. He stressed the importance of creating a versatile tool that enhances user interaction without disrupting current workflows. The goal is to develop a portable, high-performance device that can be easily integrated into various professional environments.

Adrian, a content creator at Haply, emphasized the importance of community involvement in developing this 3D touch mouse. He shared the company's strategy to engage the public through storytelling and social media, particularly TikTok, which has been effective in generating interest in not only following along our journey, but actively taking part. This led Najwa, marketing lead at Haply, to introduce the Creator’s Club collaborative initiatives aimed at fostering this.

Inspired by the community's eagerness to be involved, we're excited to introduce our Co-Development initiative. Starting soon, we'll host regular hackathon-style events, encouraging creatives and developers to build applications for our device.

Participants can retain ownership of their creations, be it apps, open-source projects, or plugins, and we'll help provide visibility and incentives like a royalty program per download. This initiative not only rewards contributors but also helps us share the touch 3D mouse with a broader audience.

Co-Marketing

Additionally, we're rolling out a co-marketing strategy where individuals can promote our product by tagging us, earning 10 cents per like on their posts, up to $2000. This initiative aims to incentivize community-driven promotion, helping us reach a wider audience with our Touch 3D Mouse.
